LeBron James, Steph Curry, and my friend Max are three people I would love to invite to dinner. LeBron James is a famous NBA player. I would want to invite him to dinner so he could teach me moves that would work in games, or against friends. Another reason why I would want him there, is to ask for signatures that I could keep as a prized possession. I would also want Steph Curry come to my dinner. Steph Curry is also a famous NBA player. I would want him to come to my dinner to teach me shooting drills I can do in my free time either with a friend or without anybody. Also, I would want to see him go against LeBron in a 1v1 that I can record and either post on social media or keep in my camera roll to see when I want. Lastly I would want my friend Max to come to the dinner, because he also learns and plays basketball, and would love to meet and play with LeBron and Steph.

This month I read a book called Prisoner B-3087 by Alan Gratz. This book is based on WWII concentration camp prisoners. Yanek Gruener the main character of the book was deported into a concentration camp. In this concentration camp he wasn’t trying to escape, he was trying to work as hard as he could to not be killed. The reason for him trying his hardest to survive, was so after the allies took their land back, he would be hopefully be able to reunite with his parents again.
What I loved about this book was how Gratz described Yanek’s will to get out of the camps, and the pain he felt throughout the way. I also love this book because of how Yanek keeps repeating how he wants to get out to possibly meet his parents again even if it wasn’t guaranteed.
My favorite character is Yanek. He is my favorite character because he shows to the nazis how he feels no emotion, but inside he is terrified. A character trait to describe him is courageous. A quote to support my claim is, “Go on! I yelled at the shower head. Go on, do it. I dare you!” This shows that even if he put in all that work to survive, he still yelled back at the nazis even if it meant death.
My favorite line from the book is, “What are you waiting for? I cried. Kill me! I give up! You win!” This is my favorite quote because it shows how doesn’t care about dying, as long as it ends the work his been through.
Dream Job
My dream job is becoming an NBA player. The team I would want to play on would be the Lakers. I root for the Lakers, and if I make the team, I would be delighted to meet famous players like Lebron James’s son. I want to become an NBA player because of how much money they make. They make at the least one million dollars per basketball season. I would use this money that I make to give to charity, buy items for my benefit, and I would invest even more money. With this money I could also buy my dream house and repay people for everything they’ve done. Another reason I want to become an NBA player is because they make money while having fun. I love basketball, and enjoy it, so making money while playing basketball would be the best. I would also make friends with the teammates that I play with. The last reason why I want to become an NBA player is because you become well known. I want to become well known because that would give me the benefit of people coming to me to ask for autographs or photos. It would also work because I would be able to sell the stuff I have for way more money than it would originally sell for.
Invisible For 24 Hours
A magician has magically made me invisible for twenty-four hours. I have three things I would do while being invisible. The first thing I would do is rob a bank. After I rob the bank, I would give a quarter of the money I earned to charity. The reason I would do this is so they could feed homeless people and help other people get jobs and clothes. Another reason I would rob the bank is for myself. I would spend money on my basketball to get extra coaches to teach me what they know. Another thing I would do while being invisible is prank my friends. I would do this for the fun of it, and tell my friend the next day what I did. As the prank, I would buy a pie from the money I made from the bank, and I would slam the pie into his face as soon as he gets home from his school or soccer. Finally, the last thing I would do if I was invisible for twenty-four hours would be take some food from a grocery store and give it to the poor. I would do this so the poor people would have something to eat instead of having to absolutely work their butt off just to pay for the things they have.

This month I read a book called Projekt 1065 by Alan Gratz. The story is based in Germany 1943. It is based off of WWII. The protagonist of the story is Michael O Shaunessey. He is the boy from Ireland who moved to Germany during the battle. Michael and his family are spies for the allies. Michael is also part of the hitler youth which is a school for every kid in Germany who will eventually becomes soldiers. One day an ally paraglider was caught falling down the air, and since he is in hitler youth, older student told him they were going to help search for him. Michael ended up finding him and hiding him in his house from germans. Michael now has to befriend a kid named Fritz to be able to find photos of what the allies need to win the war.
What I love about this book is how Alan Gratz hooks you with the cliff hangers. I also like the action and the suspense that builds up every chapter you read. I also love how the growth of the character along the way is visible, but not very easy to notice.
My favorite character is Fritz. The reason I like Fritz is because he is aggressive. A quote to describe this is “Fritz ignored me and pulled himself up again.” This shows that no matter how many punches sends him to the floor, he will keep getting up every single time until he gets knocked out.
My favorite quote from the book is, “Very clever. Are you sure you’re Irish?” This shows that even with the price of getting caught, they still make jokes while knowing the consequences of being found.
Abandoned Island
Life in my abandoned island is stressful. I ended up on this island by falling off my boat during a storm while fishing. Im glad this is the island that was closest to me, because this is a tropical island with tons of healthy orange trees, avocado trees, apple trees, and banana trees. I live near the water on the island so anybody that goes on a fishing trip, like I was, would see me and hopefully come to help me. Everyday I think of people coming to save me, so when nobody does I get more stressed everyday. My daily routine is to walk across the island to check for fruits, and animals. I also climb trees to get a better view of the sky for planes, and the island for more spots animals could be, and abandoned homes. This island is about the size of Los Angeles, so I struggle getting around the entire island, but some days it’s fun here because I get to make stuff out of trees and the rocks on the ground.

This month I read a book called Heroes by Alan Gratz. The story is based on the attack of Pearl Harbor. The setting of this story is Oahu Island, Hawaii. There are two boys, Frank and Stanley. They are both kids with parents that work in the military with their base stationed at Pearl Harbor. Frank and Stanley go to a military ship called Utah. On that ship, the attack of the Japanese starts, and they both try their hardest to survive. They both go to a safety home, but since Franks sister Ginny wants to go out to help people, Frank and Stanley are forced to go with her. The wave of attacks stop, but a second wave starts and they are forced to survive the second wave on Stanleys motor boat.
What I loved about Heroes is how Alan Gratz describes all the characters, and makes all the scenes easy to imagine while it all happens. I also like the way he makes his characters. All the characters he makes are interesting and easy to relate to. I also love the action that is in the book, and how hard it is to survive in their positions.
My favorite character in the story is Ginny. One of her character traits is helpful. A quote to describe this is “We have to get out of there and help more sailors make it up here to the Dungeon.” This shows that even though outside is a death wish, Ginny still wants to go out and save as many people as she can.
My favorite quote from the book is “We have to climb up the deck and jump off the starboard side!” This quote shows that they will do anything to survive the second wave of the Japanese attack no matter if they get hurt or killed for another reason.
If I Were Famous
If I were famous, I would do multiple things, but this is just some of it. First, I would use my popularity to get people who aren’t as popular, but are trying as hard as they can, popular. This would help get me more popular because more people who didn’t know of me before would think of me as kind leading me to become even more famous. Secondly, I would make a clothing brand, and a food company. This would help me make more money that I can give out on occasions to people who need it. Like my first reason, this would also help me gain popularity for being kind. Lastly, I would get meetings where I sign stuff that people may cherish for a long time. I would do this because I like seeing people happy, and this would make me happy also.
My Dumbledore Quote
A Dumbledore quote that I like is “We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy.” The reason I like this quote is because this quote means helping somebody is hard, but right and choosing not to help somebody is easy, but wrong. I struggle with choosing whether to help somebody or not, and this quote defines just that. Another reason why I like this quote is because people make decisions that could be right but hard and wrong and easy. I’ve seen people make the right decision and it makes me happy, but I also see people make the easy one, and it makes me feel the opposite way.
Greatly Admire
One person I greatly admire is Kobe Bryant. One reason why I admire him is because he is one of the greatest basketball players. I love basketball, and Kobe Bryant is one of the reasons I started playing it. He made everything so fun to watch. When I first started playing, he is the reason I learned my moves and ways to play and to shoot. Another reason why Kobe Bryant is someone I greatly admire is because he loves his fans. I’ve watched him give fans shirts, shoes, and signed basketballs. The reason I admire this is because he likes making different peoples days. The last reason why I admire Kobe Bryant is because he doesn’t brag about his money. He keeps most of it and doesn’t post on social media how much money he has, and the stuff he buys that cost a lot.
